Geography in Japan

Japan, AKA Nippon , is made up of about 4000 islands that lie off the east coast of Asia . It has 4 main islands; Hokkaido , Honshu , Shikoku and Kyushu from north to south. Tokyo is the capital in Japan , it is located on Honshu . Mountain Fuji is the highest and the most famous mountain in Japan . It seats in the central part of Honshu . Near 70% of the land are mountains which developed as a result of earthquakes and volcanoes around 1.6 million years ago. Lake Biwa is the biggest lake in Japan , it is also located in the central part of Honshu .
